you: steve should die for nancy. it would complete his character arc. steve dying.
me, an intellectual: steve’s character is interesting and complex enough without revolving around nancy and being reduced to her boyfriend. he could have been a shallow jock type character easily but instead the writers chose to turn those tropes over on their heads, not to mention joe keery’s talent and charm would be wasted. he’s more than nancy’s bf, and i for one am looking forward to see his arc continue and him interact with the kids.
